Welcome to the Vietnam Veteran's 9th Infantry Division, 6-31st website

This site is dedicated to the men who gave their lives in service to their country during, and after the Vietnam conflict, and are still giving their lives to it.  The young men that entered in-country, are not the same seasoned veterans that returned... they have been trying to find their way home... to that place where they belong.  We hope they will find a haven within these pages, and they will come to learn what many have discovered... they are not alone.

The creation of this site was the result of a belief, that each man is deserving of Honor, Respect, Gratitude and Healing...  It is a collaboration of the efforts of many, with a common goal... to reunite with their brothers.  Please continue on through the site; there are photos,  tribute pages, a master list of the members of the 6-31st, a friends page for those who have found peace within this haven, history, publications and so much more.  Our hope, our prayers are that through reuniting the brothers of the 6-31st, and their families that we will achieve what we consider the ultimate goal... to finally say to each of our brothers,

"Welcome Home, thank you for all that you gave; during, after and still... you are our heroes, and we appreciate you.  With Respect, Honor and Gratitude... it is our privilege to be in your presence."

The Brotherhood

"I now know why men who have been to war yearn to reunite.
Not to tell stories or look at old pictures. Not to laugh or weep.
Comrades gather because they long to be with the men who once acted at their best;
men who suffered and sacrificed, who were stripped of their humanity.
I did not pick these men. They were delivered by fate and the military.
But I know them in a way I know no other men. I have never given anyone such trust.
They were willing to guard something more precious than my life.
They would have carried my reputation, the memory of me.
It was part of the bargain we all made, the reason we were so willing to die for one another.
As long as I have my memory, I will think of them all, every day.
I am sure that when I leave this world, my last thought will be of
my family and my comrades.… Such good men."

"A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America " for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it."
